Rotaplast

Rotoplast International provides free reconstructive surgery for children with cleft lip and palate in underserved communities around the world. Its work has reached more than 25 countries and transformed the lives of more than 20,000 children.

As part of a larger documentary project, Bridge Media Company created a standalone story focused on Rotoplast’s origins, volunteers, and impact.

The film traces the organization back to founder Angelo Capozzi and the realization that reconstructive surgery could change far more than a child’s appearance. It could affect how that child eats, speaks, goes to school, participates in community, and moves through the world.

Through archival material, personal storytelling, and the voices of those connected to the work, the piece captures both the scale of Rotoplast’s reach and the deeply human consequences of its mission.

The result is a story Rotoplast can use to help donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters understand not only what the organization does, but why the work matters.
